CommentBox privacy policy

For customers

When you use CommentBox to send a company your feedback, the comment is, by default, sent anonymously.

That is, your mobile number is not supplied to the company in question.

However, you do have the option of asking to be contacted by the company.

If you choose to be contacted, by following the simple instructions you'll receive when using CommentBox, then your mobile number will be passed on to the company and stored in the CommentBox system for 14 days.

Mobile numbers temporarily stored by CommentBox in this way are never, EVER used for anything other than allowing the business to contact you, if you have requested them to do so, and during this time they remain 100% secure in the encrypted CommentBox system.

After 14 days, a stored mobile number will be removed from the system and deleted forever.

For businesses

Comments sent in by your customers may contain sensitive information - for example, personal details of those customers, or of members of staff, or detailed descriptions, praise or criticism of your service.

These comments will be stored in the encrypted CommentBox system and will only be accessible by members of your team for whom you have created password-protected accounts. None of this sensitive information will ever be shared with any 3rd party.
